Are you searching for inspiring activities for your child? Would you like your child to bring their potential to the maximum and develop their observational and creative skills? Then this is the right place!

Since 2014, Amsterdam Space and Sound Club is running art workshops, courses and camps for kids. From the very outset our main goal is to create time and space allowing for free exploration and fun: we play various space and sound based games, discover art and architecture techniques, perform, build models and create a variety of three dimensional installations.

However, Space and Sound Club is not only a place where sound and space activities merge together; we know that every child has unique capabilities and talents as well as has a natural ability to

be surprised and curious about the world

Through our workshops we aim to increase their sensitivity and show various ways to engage with the surrounding environment, so that it will always remain a fundamental source of inspiration.

Together we will discover

how many interesting things can be found in 'ordinary' surroundings

To give an example, Space and Sound gives an opportunity to see what could happen if we listen carefully to the surrounding sounds...Maybe we could make music out of them? We will see how many amazing things can be built out of everyday objects and materials and how surprising the light can be...

We want every child to find their passion, heighten their self-esteem, empathy and sensitivity towards others as well as the world around.

Children participate by:

  • observing their surroundings and building their own sound/space environments in a form of models, maquettes and installations accompanied with sounds

  • discovering sounds ‘hidden’ in ordinary objects, creating sound maps, creative partitures (graphic scores), making music

  • taking part in varied imagination games, performances and storytelling

  • painting and drawing using a variety of media
